To celebrate National Mentorship Month in January, Epicurean Charitable Foundation will host the inaugural Strikes for Scholarships bowling fundraiser from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 11, at South Point Hotel, Casino & Spa.

The event will feature a fun bowling tournament with guests encouraged to dress in support of their favorite college or university to promote school spirit. Contests, prizes and an exciting $20 balloon pop raffle will be held featuring valuable items such as a ‘Pamper at the Point’ staycation package at South Point, a family four-pack to Shark Reef at Mandalay Bay and more. Food and drink specials include $1 bloody marys and mimosas, $2 draft beers, $1 popcorn, soft pretzels and hot dogs and cheese pizza for $2 per slice or $10 per pie. Guests will additionally enjoy a meet-and-greet with participating celebrities including comedian Vinnie Favorito, comedy performer Jeff Civillico, the casts of “Rock of Ages,” “Million Dollar Quartet,” “Jersey Boys” and more.

In the spirit of hands-on learning during National Mentorship Month, our students themselves have been tasked with completely planning, promoting and executing Strikes for Scholarships from start to finish. This allows them the opportunity to actively support the foundation by raising funds for additional scholarships in the future. Tickets start at $35 for individuals and $125 for teams of five.
