Epicurean Charitable Foundation - Las Vegas

Dear Friends, Supporters and Students,

We are very excited to announce that our grand annual event, M.E.N.U.S. (Mentoring & Educating Nevada’s Upcoming Students), is returning to the Strip on Saturday, Sept. 27, at MGM Grand.

Guests at M.E.N.U.S. 2014 will attend a concert by Grammy Award-winning rock band, Kings of Leon, following an exclusive poolside dine-around offering premium beverages and delectable dishes from some of the finest restaurants and chefs in the city. The dine-around will include a silent auction, music throughout the night and a posh VIP area.

As we continue to confirm details on what is expected to be the biggest and best M.E.N.U.S. yet, we are looking for restaurants, beverage companies and other businesses in the industry to participate in the poolside dine-around. M.E.N.U.S. 2014 is expected to attract more than 1,000 guests, with tickets priced at $600 each. More information on dine-around participation is listed below.

Unique sponsorship opportunities are also available in Presenting, Platinum, Gold, Silver and Bronze varieties. More information on sponsorships and restaurant participation may be found below or by contacting Melissa Arias at 702.932.5098 or [email protected].

Without our valued donors, friends, mentors, board and partners, the continued success of M.E.N.U.S. would not be possible. I am honored and excited to host the event at MGM Grand this year and look forward to seeing you there. Follow ECF on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram @EpicureanLV for the latest M.E.N.U.S. 2014 details as they are confirmed. Once again, we thank you for your continued support.

All the best,

Jason Shkorupa
President of ECF

ECF students themselves are annually tasked with executing the day-of-event responsibilities for M.E.N.U.S., with supervision from our executive director and board. This opportunity allows the students to gain hands-on experience in a real-world situation while getting to meet and mingle with industry leaders from Las Vegas and around the country.

Formed in Nashville, Tenn., Kings of Leon is comprised of brothers Caleb, Nathan and Jared Followill along with their cousin, Matthew Followill. The band achieved initial success in the United Kingdom with nine Top-40 singles and two BRIT Awards before bursting onto the scene in the US with the release of the album, Only by the Night. The album received Platinum Record status and earned the group three Grammy Awards in 2010, including Record of the Year, Best Rock Performance by a Duo or Group and Best Rock Song for the single, "Use Somebody."

Kings of Leon will perform at MGM Garden Arena on Sept. 27 as part of their nationwide 2014 Mechanical Bull tour, named after the band's most recent album. American indie rock band, Young the Giant, and South African alternative rock band, Kongos, will join Kings of Leon to begin the 8 p.m. show.
