There are various levels of sponsorship and unique opportunities to get involved with ECF.  Where does the money go? ECF awards $33,000 to students attending the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, while $48,000 scholarships are awarded to students that attend an accredited university or program other than UNLV. This allowance covers tuition, books and other school fees. ECF has donated more than $1.3 million to local Clark County students since 2001.

Does your corporation have an opportunity to provide in-kind support of goods or services to ECF?  Does your corporation have an opportunity to provide a unique experience for a student, such as a paid internship in Las Vegas, New York City or abroad?    Can you offer an opportunity that will broaden not only their career outlook, but their perspective on life? If so, we’d love to hear from you!

Cultural Diversity Foundation

ECF partners with CDF to further enhance our students’ opportunities for academic achievement. The goals of the CDF’s educational and enrichment programs are to promote multiethnic/multicultural awareness and acceptance within the community; to focus on coordination of outreach support efforts to diverse communities, to respond to and support the professional and educational needs of the disadvantaged. The Cultural Diversity Foundation will be sponsoring many educational programs; computer skills for job readiness, scholarship workshops, and community events such as the annual Educational Taste of Excellence: Wine Tasting, Spirits & Jazz Scholarship Fundraiser, the Golden Hand Service Awards, and Looking Through the Eyes of the Beholder: An artist’s Vision to support our vision and goals.

The Public Education Foundation

At its core, The Public Education Foundation invests in ideas. They investigate and evaluate ways that Nevada’s children can be better educated. The Foundation, a nonprofit organization, is a hands-on think tank. Creating dynamic initiatives and programs that reimagine and improve public education. PEF works collaboratively with individuals, other nonprofits, businesses, Clark County School District and local governments to efficiently and effectively marshal their resources. Solutions to the challenges of educating a growing and diverse Southern Nevada population are to have an impact on schools and the school district at multiple levels from grassroots classroom participation to systemic reform. Their initiatives and programs empower teachers and students, reduce bureaucracy, ensure accountability, leverage resources, and deliver results.
For more than two decades, PEF has been working to bring about transformational change in teaching, learning and education leadership. It is a mission they pledge to honor today and into the future.
ECF has partnered with Public Education Foundation to help reach as many Clark County School District students as possible to inform them of our full ride Hospitality/Food and Beverage/Culinary scholarship.

Speedway Children's Charities

Since its inception in 1999, Speedway Children’s Charities has granted more than $2.5 million to local children’s causes throughout Southern Nevada. Grants are given to a variety of organizations and most likely have touched the life of someone you know. These funds were raised by the generous support of the racing, corporate and local communities.

There are many ways to help ECF. So what else can you do? Here are a few ideas:

  • Host a dinner, wine tasting or golf tournament.
  • Organize or join a race, and walk, run, or ride a bike.
  • Plan a corporate promotion that gives back.
  • Host a tour of your company for ECF students.
  • Serve as a guest speaker in a student’s class. This will provide invaluable real-world knowledge to a room full of growing minds!
  • Sponsor a field trip to a local restaurant or food-service trade show.

Whether you’re interested in organizing an event, planning an appearance or finding out about upcoming opportunities, we’d love to hear from you!
